As we step into 2026, I’m reminded of the beautiful truth found in Psalm 139:16:
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Every single day of this new year—the joys, the challenges, the unexpected turns—has already been seen lovingly by our sovereign God. He holds all of our days in his providential care.
In the bright days when everything seems right, we can rejoice knowing he’s the source of every blessing. In the difficult days when sadness or uncertainty presses in, we can rest knowing all things work for his good and ours.
As we face the unknowns of the coming year—new beginnings, ongoing struggles, hopes that feel fragile—rest in this truth; we’re not wandering through a random plot. We’re part of a Story being written by a good Author—one who is not only good, but infinitely wise and perfectly loving.
This is my prayer for you—that you would feel his nearness, trust his timing, and walk with confidence into every day he has written. The best is not behind you; it’s ahead, because the One who holds tomorrow is the same One who holds you.
With love and hope,
Richard
